Jan Hagara uniquely captures the innocence of childhood, earning world-wide reputation as an artist and creator of collectible prints, porcelain dolls, collector plates, and figurines. Her works are instantly recognizable -- young children in Victorian-era costumes clutching dolls, toys, or flowers while looking out through wide, wistful eyes.
Jan's art reflects back to a time of curls, lace, bonnets and bisque dolls. After phtographing children dressed in antique clothing, Jan creates a watercolor painting, including her distinctive trademark -- two blue strokes hidden in the painting, usually in the child's hair.
